Spring Showcase Benefiting Hospice of the Foothills
Visit California's famous Gold Country and the Historic Inns of Grass Valley and Nevada City for 
their eleventh annual springtime tour. This year we will open our seven inns and gardens to visitors as a benefit for Hospice of the Foothills. Funds raised will help construct their new facility which will cosist of a 12-bed Hospice Home and the Dawn Luster In-Home Services wing which will house the staff that has been serving the terminally ill of our community for the past 29 years.
A $20 donation will admit you to four inns in Grass Valley and three in Nevada City. Free tickets are available for guests at member inns.
In addition, local artists will be displaying their art at various Inns and refreshments will be served.

The inns are diverse in their appearance and personalities. Ranging from four to nine rooms or cottages, member inns offer accommodations that can fit almost any request. The architectureal styles range from Vicrotian to Gothic or French Country to California Farmhouse. Each has a unique past including a private hospital, an early 1900's motor court, and a boarding house as well as homes of prominenet 19th century Gold Coutry personalities.

Victorian Christmas Inn Tour, 2009
Open your Christmas holiday with a tour through the Historic Inns of Grass Valley & Nevada City’s beautifully decorated member Inns. The Candlelight Inn Tour dates are December 10th & 17th. Allow us 
to invite you into our festively adorned Inns and entreat you to sample refreshments made from some of our own special recipes. Each Inn is uniquely decorated and has it’s own rich history. Staying guest receive free passes and non guest tour participants may purchase tickets at any Inn for $10 or at the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce & the Grass Valley Chamber of Commerce. There is half a weeks worth of activities between our two cites during the Christmas holiday. On Wednesdays, Nevada City entreats you to take part in our Victorian Christmas celebration with carriage rides, professional musicians, strolling carolers, arts & crafts, and a visit from Santa as just part of our downtown street fair. On Thursday take the Candlelight Inn Tour. Then on Friday Grass Valley invites you to enjoy our Cornish Christmas, A holiday Tradition where you’ll see the Grass Valley Cornish Choir, cloggers, bellringers, taste delicious Cornish pasties, and, of course, see Santa Claus. This is just a short list of festive entertainments that both of our towns offer as part of our Christmas celebrations. Please join us and become part of the “living, sparkling Christmas card.”
